Job summary

Mark's Commercial in Canada is seeking an Operations Planning Analyst to support forecasting, inventory planning, and supply chain decisions. You will collaborate with Planning, Sales, and Fulfillment teams to analyze demand, manage inventory, and provide actionable recommendations across Canada.

You'll gain exposure to forecasting tools, KNIME workflows, SQL reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives while building practical experience in planning, analytics, and operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in forecasting, inventory planning, and supply chain analytics.
• Experience with inventory replenishment and planning toolsets.
• Experience in retail, wholesale, contract, or B2B environments.
• Ability to model processes and determine financial implications of alternatives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand for ongoing programs and for new programs.
• Meet with vendors and provide Mark's Commercial order projections.
• Provide order projections to Retail PODs for shared products.
• Analyze core inventory requirements for Fulfillment Centres.
• Review seasonal Fulfillment Centre inventory and act on stranded inventory.
• Test and implement planning tools with IT and business partners.
• Balance inventory between Fulfillment Centres.
• Coordinate inventory transfers and replenishment activities.
• Lead forecast cycles using planning assumptions and quarterly processes.
• Perform scenario analysis to mitigate supply, inventory, and service risks.
• Develop forecasting tools, templates, and modeling.
• Calculate demand and place import purchase orders.
• Analyze demand and place orders ahead of cost increases.
• Review open POs and supplier confirmations to decide actions.
• Work with suppliers and planning partners to manage disruptions.
• Escalate critical risks affecting fulfillment or inventory.
• Prepare monthly reporting for Finance and KNIME workflows.
• Develop ad hoc reports on inventory, sales, forecasting, and performance.
