Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee the daily operations of a unit, including supervising staff and ensuring service and production standards are met. You will delegate tasks, schedule coverage, and manage costs to align with the unit budget.

Ideal candidates will have a college diploma in hospitality or food service, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills.

Job description

The Food Service Director is responsible to manage day-to-day operations for a single unit, including ensuring that work is completed, scheduling staff, controlling costs, resolving issues or complaints, and managing people.

  • Resolve requests, complaints, and concerns

  • Manage, coach, and develop unit staff to achieve unit and team goals

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation.
