Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school.
• 7 months or more of related experience in food preparation or service.
• Completion of college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline an asset.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Driven and focused. Passion for people and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct and coordinate restaurant team members throughout their shift.
• Schedule staff and assign duties and provide ongoing direction to team members.
• Lead by example and demonstrate respect for team members and guests.
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule activities of staff who serve food.
• Train staff in duties, sanitization and safety procedures.
• Orientate and monitor new team members.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies for food preparation.
• Maintain inventories for the food department and keep records of usage.
• Ensure products and packaging are merchandised and stocked properly.
• Handle guest feedback and queries; respond to service complaints promptly.
• Ensure food and service meet quality control standards; prepare reports for management.
