Job summary

Next Youth Job in Vermilion, AB is seeking a hands-on restaurant supervisor to lead kitchen staff, ensure quality control, manage schedules, and address customer concerns on-site.

You will train staff, supervise food preparation, monitor sanitation, and coordinate with front-of-house to deliver consistent service. 1–2 years of experience in food service preferred; on-site role in Vermilion.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in food service or related role.
  • Proven ability to supervise and coordinate staff.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in duties, sanitation and safety procedures; maintain quality standards.
  • Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns; maintain records as needed.
  • Prepare and submit reports; supervise assembly of trays and establish work schedules.

Work location: On site
Salary: 19.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Supervision: 1 to 2 people, 3-4 people
