As a Food Service Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient and resident-focused healthcare as a dedicated member of the Nutrition Food Service (NFS) team. NFS is a provincial service committed to providing nutritious, healthy, high-quality meals to patients, residents, staff, visitors, and the community. This position involves performing various tasks to ensure a quality experience for patients, residents, and customers, under the supervision of a Food Services Supervisor. Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing, handling, portioning, and packaging food and beverages.
  2. Assembling trays in the kitchen and/or serving meals in a dining room setting.
  3. Providing patient meal delivery and pickup.
  4. Ordering and storing unit supplies.
  5. Safely operating and cleaning industrial food service equipment.
  6. Adhering to safety, sanitation, and food preparation standards according to AHS policies and guidelines.
  7. Completing cash handling duties in retail settings.
  8. Performing other assigned food service duties.

As a Food Service I, your responsibilities include routine tasks related to basic food preparation, such as packaging, portioning, serving, and cleaning.
