Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in our healthcare dining and housekeeping teams in Toronto. You will perform a range of tasks from cleaning and food preparation to serving meals and dishwashing, ensuring smooth service for residents.

The role requires a Food Handler Certificate and the ability to follow health and safety guidelines; prior healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred, and English communications are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care environment is preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English, verbal and written, and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, setup and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Follow health & safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to the supervisor.

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.25 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of resident's rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, with occasional Sunday shifts as required.
• Shifts are scheduled between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
