Job summary

Compass-Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in our food service environments. You will assist with cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing, contributing to a safe, welcoming kitchen and dining area.

Hours are 10am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with potential fluctuations based on business needs. A valid Food Handler Certificate, English proficiency, and the ability to work independently or in a team are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience in housekeeping and food services is an asset.
• Healthcare environment experience is preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping, keep kitchen and service areas clean and organized.
• Assist with food preparation, setup, and cleanup of kitchen and service areas.
• Dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards.

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen, service areas and equipment.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of kitchen and service work areas, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management
• Food prep includes but not limited to: grill service of breakfast & lunch, salads, sandwiches, pizza, etc
• Strict adherence to food safety practices, tracking and documentation

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
