Job summary

Atlantic Beef Products Inc. in Albany, PE is hiring a Food Processing Equipment Cleaner for the evening shift. The position is onsite, 40 hours per week, with pay of $18.50 per hour.

You will clean production areas, operate vacuums, wash surfaces, and assist with sanitation per CFIA guidelines. Applicants should have secondary school completion and be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial cleaning experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Wash surfaces, interior walls and ceilings
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax production lines and areas
• Clean and disinfect production areas, equipment, and fixtures
• May move heavy equipment and supplies
• Uses chemicals and other substances for cleaning
• Required to wear personal protective equipment
• Complete and document sanitation paperwork
• Other duties as assigned

Location: Albany, PE (Onsite)
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Shift: Evening Shift (5 PM till 1:40 AM)

Food Processing Equipment Cleaner cleans the production and processing areas as per the procedures and guidelines of Atlantic Beef Products and CFIA regulations and guidelines. Participates in the pre-operation inspection.

Work Conditions

Our workplace is a meat processing facility that is an environment of multi-temperatures and varying levels of humidity. We convert live cattle into Federally Inspected beef products. As per the conditions of employment, this position may require you to work in all areas of the plant including the slaughter processing area.
