Position Summary
As a General Labourer - Food Processing in our meat production facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to meat processing, packaging, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. This position is essential to our commitment to producing top-notch cooked and cured meat products for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Meat Processing: Assist in the processing of meat products, which may include cutting, trimming, and portioning.
- Packaging: Safely and accurately package meat products according to company standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality and report any deviations from quality standards to supervisors.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean and hygienic work area by following food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and equipment as necessary, following safety guidelines.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth production process.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines. As well as ability to read product specifications based on customer demands.
- Adaptability: Be willing to cross-train and perform various tasks as needed.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in a food production or meat processing environment is an asset but not required.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced & physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Work Authorization: Must hold valid, active legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Location/Commute: Must be willing and able to commute or relocate to Acme, AB.
- Onsite: work must be completed at the Physical location
