We're looking for a good communicator who likes to be in a fast-paced environment. With a natural sense of hospitality, the Food and Beverage Manager ensures that all meeting spaces, lobby bar, breakfast room and room service run smoothly. He/she takes profitability and adherence to the establishment's standards to heart, and there's nothing he/she enjoys more than a satisfied team and guests.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Ensure that all banquet events, meetings, lounge and breakfast operate successfully and are individually profitable
  • Coach and train employees reflecting Groupe Germain service standards
  • Provide guidance and support to the Assistant F&B Managers and team
  • Schedule the Supervisory Team ensuring full coverage
  • Assist Director of F&B in managing recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, development and performance management of the staff
  • Conduct quarterly talent reviews
  • Conduct quarterly departmental communication meetings
  • Attend, BEO, Operations, department head meetings as required
  • Schedule staff and management according to business levels
  • Maintain inventories and ensure equipment is in working order
  • Ensure quality levels and maintain quality standards in production, service, and guest satisfaction
  • Set upand maintain safe working conditions and practices
  • Liaise regularly with other departments

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a role with direct personnel supervision
  • Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively, with an acute sense of time management and attention to detail
  • Excellent English verbal and written. A second language (preferably French) an asset
  • Assertive, professional and positive with proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, outgoing, friendly, persuasive personality
  • Good understanding of current licensing and employment laws
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health andsafetyregulations
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
