Responsibilities

Tasks include:

1. Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
2. Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
3. Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
4. Load buspans and trays
5. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
6. Place dishes in storage area
7. Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
8. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
9. Package take-out food
10. Portion and wrap foods
11. Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
12. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
13. Stock refrigerators and salad bars
14. Take customers' orders
15. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
16. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
17. Handle and store cleaning products
18. Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
19. Remove kitchen garbage and trash
20. Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
21. Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
22. Serve food and beverages
