The Opportunity

The Resident Care Attendant reports to the Executive Director or the Director of Care. They ensure and support the implementation and evaluation of resident care services in accordance with provincial standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure the highest standard of resident care.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist residents with activities of daily living and deliver personal care services promoting choice, involvement, and participation.
  2. Assist in the delivery of meals, housekeeping, laundry, and therapeutic recreation programs.
  3. Model a resident-centered approach and uphold our values in all interactions with residents, families, and team members.
  4. Participate in social, recreational, and therapeutic programs, including group activities, outings, and events.
Qualifications
  1. Graduate of a recognized Health Care Assistant program.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  3. Genuine interest and concern for seniors' well-being.
  4. Registered with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry.

Hours of Work: 7 am - 3 pm (5 days on, 2 days off, 5 days on, 3 days off)
