Kobe Steakhouse, Vancouver's premier Japanese dining destination for over 50 years, is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Floor Manager to join our leadership team. Working alongside our General Manager, you'll help maintain our high standards of service and support our dedicated staff in delivering the theatrical dining experience that has made us the city's #1 destination restaurant.

The Role
As our Floor Manager, you will:

1. Support the General Manager in daily operations and guest service excellence
2. Actively supervise and coach front-of-house staff to maintain superior service standards
3. Monitor dining room flow and staff performance during service
4. Handle guest relations and ensure memorable dining experiences
5. Assist in staff scheduling and floor plans
6. Maintain strong communication between front and back of house
7. Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
8. Help build and maintain regular clientele through exceptional guest relations
9. Assist in interviewing and training new team members
10. Ensure staff compliance with service standards and procedures

Required Qualifications

1. 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory experience
2. Strong leadership and team-building abilities
3. Excellence in guest relations and conflict resolution
4. Serving It Right certification
5. Experience with restaurant POS systems (we use Squirrel)
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
8. Passionate about hospitality
