Job summary

LandSea is seeking a Baker to join the crew onboard the MV Isabelle, delivering high-quality desserts and pastries for a remote workforce accommodation setting. The role emphasizes following directions, reliability, and teamwork, with the Chef's guidance to produce both scratch and prefabricated baked goods for daily service.

Applicants should have at least 2 years' hotel or cruise ship experience, ability to work long shifts, weekends and holidays, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School, GED, or related area.
• Must hold a valid food safety certificate.
• Must provide at least 2 professional work references.
• Must provide photo identification (PDF of photo ID) to verify identity during virtual interview.

Responsibilities

• Produces featured desserts daily, hot or cold, as well as grab and go desserts such as parfaits, tiramisu, Jello, puddings, cakes and crumbles.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Enforces and upholds LandSea policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
