Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Children's Centre in Ontario is seeking a Floater to support Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged programs. The role requires flexibility to move between all programs and shifts to cover staff and ensure coverage across all parts of the centre.

The position is a contract role ending December 24, 2026, with pay from $19.00 to $23.52 per hour. Eligible staff may qualify for a $2.00/hour Wage Enhancement Grant; requirements include ECE certification or registration, First

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in licensed child-care settings.
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C.
• Criminal Reference Check for Vulnerable Sector.
• Immunizations up-to-date with medical clearance.
• WHMIS, AODA and CCEYA certificates (we can assist to obtain).

Responsibilities

Job description

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non‑profit child care centre with locations in Arnprior, Renfrew and Pembroke. The Renfrew location is based out of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic School on First street. We offer Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged Programs. We require 1 Floater beginning immediately, working 8 hours daily Monday to Friday. This role would be to float between all programs/all shifts to cover staff. Time will be required in all programs.

The rate of pay is $19.00 up to $23.52.

These hours have the ability to qualify for $2.00/hour WEG (Wage Enhancement Grant) as well.

This posting is a contract position ending Dec 24th, 2026, and it requires:

• Registered with the College of ECE if you have your ECE certification
• Experience with young children
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up-to-date immunizations and the ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help a successful candidate secure these certificates)

Recommended

• Knowledge of CCEYA and HDLH Considered an Asset:
