Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre in Pembroke is seeking 1 floater to cover multiple programs across all shifts, starting immediately. The role requires working 8 hours daily, Monday to Friday, across infant to school-aged programs located at 279 Clemow Ave, Pembroke.

The position offers a wage range and potential WEG benefits for eligible staff. Applicants must be registered with the College of ECE if certified, possess current First Aid/CPR C, and provide a vulnerable sector CRC.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of ECE if you have your ECE certification.
• Experience with young children.
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C.
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector.
• Proof of up-to-date immunizations and medical clearance note.
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates and ability to secure them.

Responsibilities

• Float between all programs and shifts to cover staff.
• Work 8 hours daily Monday to Friday at the Pembroke location.
• Cover needs across Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged programs.

Job description

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with 3 locations in Arnprior, Renfrew and Pembroke. The Pembroke location is located at 279 Clemow Ave in Pembroke. We offer Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged Programs (located inside Lady of Lourdes School). We require 1 Floater beginning immediately, working 8 hours daily Monday to Friday. This role would be to float between all programs/all shifts to cover staff. Time will be required in all programs.

The rate of pay is $19.00 up to $23.52

These hours have the ability to qualify for $2.00/hour WEG (Wage Enhancement Grant) as well.

This posting is for a new position, and it requires:

• Registered with the College of ECE IF you have your ECE certification
• Experience with young children
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up-to-date immunizations and the ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating goodhealth
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help a successful candidate secure these certificates)
