Job summary

Execaire Aviation in Toronto is seeking a Flight Follower to ensure flights are planned, organized, supported and followed accurately. You will be central to effective communication between flight crew, operations and management.

Responsibilities include adhering to policies, handling flight alerting (NOTAMS, weather), monitoring progress from start to finish, coordinating with the pilot-in-command, OCC, Nav Canada, and updating flight plans and software systems.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma required.
• Proven organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Work well under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Undertake flight alerting procedures and provide information (meteorological data, NOTAMS) to the pilot-in-command.
• Monitor flight progress from start to finish, including intermediate stops.
• Communicate with the pilot-in-command about landings, departures, origin, en-route stops, and final destination.
• Notify the OCC of acceptance and ETA times.
• Keep pertinent software systems updated (building flights, pairings, alerts, currency).
• Use flight planning software to issue, amend, or delete NOTAMS.
• File flight plans for flight crew and monitor weather alerts.
• Liaise with Nav Canada to update or cancel flight plans.
• Track crew and aircraft downtime and duty days.
• Complete daily Shift Report.
• Track response times and delays and on-time performance.
• Accomplish other duties as requested.
