Job summary

March of Dimes Canada seeks part-time Personal Support Workers (Support Service Attendants) in Wellington County (Fergus/Drayton). Shifts include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays within a 24/7 program. Mileage for community visits is provided.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
Experience with individuals with physical disabilities or as a caregiver is an asset.
Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living.
Provide personal care and assist with lifts and transfers.
Assist with rising and retiring routines.
Support bowel and bladder procedures as applicable.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
Perform range of motion exercises as directed.
Carry out light housekeeping duties.
Provide 24-hour attendant care across locations on a rotating shift schedule.
