Job summary

Fueling Brains Academies is seeking On-Call Teachers to join our team of passionate early childhood educators. You will support a developmentally appropriate, emergent, project-based approach led by experienced educators in our warm, collaborative classrooms.

The ideal candidate brings at least one year of experience with children, an ECE Level 1/2 credential, and current First Aid. We value Montessori/Reggio-inspired practice and appreciate candidates who can complete required background

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience working with children
• ECE Level 1/2 certification required or in progress
• Reggio-inspired or Montessori experience is an asset
• Current First Aid Certificate (may be obtained upon hire)
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check in the past 6 months (may be obtained upon hire)

Key Accountailities And Responsiilities

• Make a difference every day!

• Guide children in self-motivated learning, helping stimulate their natural desire to learn.
• Encourage children through role modeling and guidance to respect themselves and others.
• Collaborate with classroom teams for planning and implementation of weekly lesson plans.
• Plan open-ended activities with an emphasis on process orientation and a developmentally appropriate curriculum with age-appropriate and individualized activities.
• Be responsible for reporting challenges, successes, and competencies of each student to the Director or to parents on a regular basis.
• Supervise the classroom, helping the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently, and respect themselves and others.
• Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring, and safe environment for the children.
• Assist children with self-care (i.e. dressing, diapering, feeding).
• Other duties as assigned by Lead Teachers and Program Supervisors.

What You Bring (preferred Skills And Qualifications)

• Minimum one year of experience working with children
