Job summary

HealthOPM staffing agency is recruiting Registered Nurses (RNs) for casual shifts within a long-term care home in the Brantford area. We are looking for dependable nurses with long-term care experience who can provide safe resident care and offer flexible availability, including weekends.

The role involves nursing assessments, administering medications, monitoring residents, and coordinating with the care team. Relevant CNO registration and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Long-term care, retirement, or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check and required health/immunization documentation.
• Reliable transportation to the Brantford area.
• Flexible casual availability, including weekends.
• Able to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments, resident care and ongoing monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and scope of practice.
• Respond to changes in resident condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Complete clinical documentation and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide direction and support to RPNs and PSWs as appropriate.
