Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare Brantford is seeking a Casual Overnight Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care across Brantford and surrounding areas. The role requires 11:00pm–7:00am availability and entails traveling to multiple client sites for overnight visits.

The RN will utilize diverse clinical skills including palliative and pediatric care, wound care, IV therapy, and health teaching. You’ll receive mentorship, structured schedules, and opportunities for career growth within

Qualifications

• RN with current registration in good standing
• Availability for 2+ overnight shifts per week (11:00pm–7:00am)
• CPR certification current and valid
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
• Excellent command of English, spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care during overnight visits across Brantford and surrounding areas
• Travel between clients within Brant County for scheduled visits
• Perform clinical skills including palliative, wound care, IV therapy, and health teaching
• Act as planning lead for client care with a holistic approach and documentation
• Delegate tasks to other staff while maintaining professional standards
• Focus on care time with reduced travel to maximize patient interaction

Casual Shift Role Details:

Casual pickup position, call out based, for overnight shift visits. Requires 2 or more nights of availability per week, 11:00pm – 7:00am. We are flexible in accepting your ongoing availability. We call out client assignments to our roster of overnight nurses. Wage:$37.91 per hour, plus km allowance for travel between clients (where applicable) Location of Work: Brantford and surrounding Brant County areas Branch details: Brantford branch. What you’ll be doing:

• As an RN, you make a difference everyday by providing the highest quality of nursing care to our clients in the Brantford and surrounding county areas. This position requires travel throughout Brantford and Brant County for client visits.
• Shift visits will be between the hours of 9am and 9pm, and require rotating availability within this window.
• This position utilizes a wide range of clinical skills, including but not limited to palliative, pediatric, wound care, intravenous therapy, and health teaching towards chronic disease prevention.
• As the primary care planner to your clients, you have the autonomy and flexibility to provide a holistic approach to care while increasing your skills through our comprehensive training, mentorship, and preceptorship programs.
• You will teach and delegate tasks and functions to various levels of staff and client family members while maintaining our industry’s highest level of practice.
• You are the nursing care expert for your community. With our efficient work schedules, you will be more focused on care time and less travel time.

Education:

• RN level nurses who have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current registration with the provincial licensing body.
• Current CPR certification required

Other Requirements:

• Clear criminal background check (with vulnerable sector screening), negative TB test
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable vehicle
• Excellent command of the English language; spoken and written
