Job summary

Health OPM Inc. is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) for casual shifts in a long-term care home in the Brantford area, with a Hamilton base.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, monitor residents, document care, and collaborate with the care team. Flexibility including weekends is required; start ASAP. Must hold CNO registration and CPR/BLS; Vulnerable Sector Check and immunization records must be current.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the CNO.
• Long-term care, retirement or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Vulnerable Sector Check and immunization documentation.
• Reliable transportation to the Brantford area and flexible casual availability.
• Able to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments, resident care and ongoing monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and scope of practice.
• Respond to changes in resident condition and changes in care needs.
• Complete clinical documentation and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide direction and support to RPNs and PSWs as appropriate.
