Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Delta, BC is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a shift, manage technicians and coordinators, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will partner with the Operations Manager to meet performance targets and optimize shop activities.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and cost-control capabilities, with experience in maintenance operations and a Shop Management System. Benefits include medical and pension plans, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 1–3 years or more experience in maintenance operations may substitute for degree.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: scheduling, planning, and productivity tracking.
• Ensure warranty policies and procedures are followed.
• Manage triage of unscheduled drive-ins and assign work to technicians.
• Conduct yard checks to optimize scheduling and prioritization.
• Lead talent development and performance management of staff.
• Oversee customer relationship management and communication protocols.
• Direct parts inventory and shop tooling/equipment requirements.
