Job summary

Roofmart, Canada’s National distributor for Exterior Building Supply for Roofing, Siding, Metal and Building Envelope, is seeking an Aide-mécanicien(ne) to repair and maintain a fleet of 70+ tractors, booms, cranes, trailers, forklifts and service vehicles. The role includes local travel for breakdowns and working Monday to Friday 11 AM–8 PM.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role is required; mechanical certifications are an asset, as is experience with laptop troubleshooting software.

• Mechanical certifications are an asset.
• Experience with laptop troubleshooting software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the fleet. Local travel may be required when a breakdown occurs.
• Repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Weld metal (aluminum welding is an asset).
• Complete work and inspection orders per the company’s standards and procedures.
• Perform any other related tasks as requested.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 11 AM to 8 PM.
