Job summary

Seaboard Transport is seeking a Dispatcher in North York, Ontario to coordinate driver schedules, dispatch loads, and ensure loads are delivered safely and on time. You will be the main contact for drivers, handling communications, data entry in TMW, and problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational skills, and experience in transportation or logistics, with knowledge of TMW and ELDs.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics; dispatch experience is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of TMW software and ELD systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage driver schedules and communicate variances to leadership.
• Log customer orders and dips in the TMW system and verify data.
• Schedule loads prioritizing safety and efficiency based on customer info in TMW.
• Communicate dispatch details to drivers, including load plans and truck info.
• Answer driver and customer inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
