T-Lane Transportation in Edmonton, AB, is seeking an influential and highly motivated Dispatcher with Ocean Container experience to join our growing team today. This role is based in Edmonton, AB, and you will coordinate from order entry to billing, communicating constantly with drivers and customers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders into TMW and build a manifest, dispatch drivers, and follow up until POD and billing.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers and customers throughout the dispatch process.
• Dispatch deliveries and preplan freight for return trips.

Job Responsibilities

As the dispatcher, you are responsible from the beginning of the process to the end. Entering the orders into TMW and building a manifest, dispatching the driver, following up until the POD is in the system and the order is ready for billing. To do this you are in constant communication with drivers as well as our customers. You will be responsible for dispatching deliveries, preplanning freight for return trips.

Qualifications

As the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, results driven and a team player. In addition, you will possess the following qualifications:

• Experience as a Dispatcher in the transportation field with 3 years minimum experience required
• Experience in scheduling trucks for live orders and projects
• Experience and knowledge of Canadian shipping regulations and practices.
• Ocean Container dispatch experience is required for this role
• This position requires an individual who is adaptable; self-motivated, results driven and a team player.
• Successful with building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• An expert at multi-tasking and effectively managing changing priorities.
• High level of detail in performing tasks.
• Proactive, able to identify early on any potential issues, and to implement solutions.
• Experienced with TMW and Microsoft Office is required
