The Fixed Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for supervising employees involved with the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, servicing, and cleaning of fixed facilities equipment and related pieces of equipment. The role also includes performing regular Building, Structure, and Stops Technician tasks.
Knowledge and Skills

Experience
- Diploma or trade qualification in electrical or mechanical technologies, or equivalent experience.
- Building maintenance experience.
- Leadership experience supervising a maintenance team.
- Experience in industrial or transportation industries preferred.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in operation and maintenance of buildings.
- Experience in writing maintenance procedures and work instructions.
- Experience managing work order systems; Maximo experience is an asset.
- DZ license is an asset.
Managerial Leadership
- Plan, schedule, assign, monitor, train, and develop the maintenance Fixed Facilities team to meet organizational objectives.
- Ensure team compliance with safety, quality, and customer service standards.
- Identify and respond to safety hazards and support the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
- Participate in daily maintenance meetings to ensure standards are met.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
Contractor Relations
- Oversee, supervise, and audit subcontractor work to meet company standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and third parties.
- Support warranty and vandalism processes for fixed facilities.
- Assist in managing performance and work order systems during snow and ice events.
Fixed Facilities Management
- Oversee daily management of buildings and stops to ensure maintenance and repairs are efficient.
- Identify operational challenges and manage associated risks.
- Develop strategies to optimize assets.
- Address and resolve issues with internal and external parties.
- Monitor technologies related to mechanical, electrical, and energy conservation.
- Manage cleaning, servicing, inspection, maintenance, repair, and emergency responses to ensure safety, cleanliness, and reliability.
- Monitor and resolve equipment and servicing issues, conduct audits, and implement improvements.
- Fill in for a Building, Structure, and Stops Technician if required.
Administration and Other
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and work instructions.
- Record work and materials in the Maximo system.
- Conduct inventory checks and order supplies.
- Review maintenance expenditures, including subcontractor costs.
- Perform fixed facilities or BSST work approximately 25% of the time.
- Adhere to quality and safety standards outlined in company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
