Job summary

Cambridge Pro Fab Inc. is hiring Fitters and Welders for day shift to layout and fit plate and structural steel in a busy fabrication shop. You will read blueprints, work with high‑grade materials, and help produce components for major industrial projects.

The company is expanding with a new facility at 6 Adams St., Paris, ON, while initial training will occur at 84 Shaver St. Brantford. The role offers a 4‑day work week and a pay range of $27.00–$34.00 per hour with growth opportunities in a

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a fitter welder.
• Ability to pass an in-house FCAW Carbon Steel Fillet Weld Test (CSA W47.1) and Blueprint Reading Test.
• Current CWB welding tickets considered an asset.
• Experience welding in multiple positions and with various materials.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and lay out work according to engineering drawings and work orders.
• Understand blueprints, weld symbols, and bills of material.
• Perform repairs and rework to maintain customer tolerances.
• Apply metallurgy knowledge to ensure accurate fit-up.
• Fit panels, boxes, cylinders, and transition pieces in stainless and carbon steel.
• Operate welding equipment safely and professionally as required.
• Fit and weld assigned jobs, including work at heights or in confined spaces (training provided).
• Work with various metals as required.
