Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Delta, BC is hiring a Retail Outfitter to deliver legendary customer service and expert product knowledge. You will work with a team to help customers identify needs and recommend gear.

The role emphasizes understanding outdoor trends, maintaining store presentation, and working across departments as needed. Starting pay ranges from CAD 18.25 to 20.25 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Starting Pay Rate: $18.25 - $20.25
