Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Retail Lead oversees the daily operations of a retail store department, ensuring excellent customer service and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead team members, partnering with the manager.
2. Delegate tasks clearly and follow up on execution.
3. Train staff on standard operating procedures and processes.
4. Ensure compliance with procedures, providing corrections and reporting violations.
5. Handle administrative tasks related to the department.
6. Deliver exceptional customer service through needs assessment and product recommendations.
7. Promote company programs to staff and customers.
8. Maintain visual standards, including signage, merchandise presentation, restocking, and cleaning.
9. Resolve customer issues using good judgment and decision-making skills.
10. Assist in other store areas as needed.

Qualifications:

1. At least two years of supervisory experience in sales or service preferred.
2. Open availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and store opening/closing shifts.
3. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
4. Strong ability to assess customer needs and recommend suitable products.
5. Excellent customer service skills, exceeding expectations.
6. Good judgment and logical thinking.
7. Experience in outdoor activities or related fields.
8. Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.
