Civeo Services Employees LP is seeking a First Cook for our lodges near Fort McMurray, AB. The successful candidate will prepare a variety of foods, develop meal plans, manage inventory and grocery orders, lead kitchen staff, and ensure high-quality food and baking standards. Responsibilities include meal preparation, supervision, inventory management, administrative duties, safety compliance, and teamwork. First Cooks are expected to be leaders, team players, and exemplars of excellence. Reporting to the supervisor, the position involves a 20/10 rotation, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and organize the culinary team for food preparation and task allocation.
2. Assist with menu planning, ordering, inventory, and daily production.
3. Prepare and produce menu items.
4. Meet daily production targets.
5. Complete all cleaning schedules as assigned.
6. Maintain food quality, safety, and service standards daily.
7. Follow safety policies and procedures, including Safe Work Practices and SOPs.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Cook Certification is required.
• 3-5+ years of food service experience, preferably in a remote setting.
• Valid Food Safety certification in Alberta is required.
• First Aid Certification is an asset.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and time management skills in an industrial kitchen environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
