Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Service and Sales Technician in Calgary to service fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods and emergency lights along a customer route. You will upsell products and services to meet current fire codes while expanding our on-site client base.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of related experience, hold a valid Class 5 license, and demonstrate strong organization and customer service. A comprehensive benefits package and company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• One year experience with service and sales of fire extinguishers, kitchen systems and emergency lights.
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Basic PC knowledge and ability to handle paperwork.
• Basic understanding of building codes and regulations.
• Flexible hours and strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage route servicing existing fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods and conduct emergency light inspections.
• Upsell to customers needing products and services to meet current fire codes.
• Sell new accounts on route based on same compliance criteria.
• Complete all necessary paperwork to meet deadlines.
• Maintain weekly, monthly and annual quotas set forth by the suppression manager.
• Comply with customer service obligations and company policies.
• Perform other duties set forth by the suppression manager.

What you will do:

Servicing and sales of fire extinguishers and emergency lights

How you will do it:

• Manage route servicing existing fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods and conduct emergency light inspections

What we look for:

• One year experience with service and sales of fire extinguishers, kitchen systems and emergency lights preferred.
• Some fire suppression business experience preferred
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong organization and good communication skills
• Must have valid Class 5 driver's license
• Ability to work with your hands and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (23 kg)
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers
• Work flexible hours when necessary
• Have basic PC knowledge
• Basic understanding of building codes and regulations

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.00 - $31.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
