Job summary

Johnson Controls in Kingston, Ontario seeks a versatile Fire Sales Representative to expand fire service opportunities across an assigned territory and accounts. You will connect customers with service solutions for inspections, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and system performance.

The role requires promoting fire service offerings, building relationships with contractors and end users, and utilizing codes/standards to guide recommendations. A full driver’s license and sales drive are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell fire service offerings within assigned territory and accounts.

  • Work with the existing service customer base to identify needs for inspections, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, modifications.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy that supports understanding of company service offerings.
  • Close sufficient sales to exceed sales plan objectives.
  • Apply applicable fire protection codes and standards when discussing service opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, general contractors, and end users.
  • Estimate small projects, including day works as required.
  • Develop new business relationships and help grow the Fire Service business.
  • Own your territory with accountability and integrity in prospecting, follow-up, and closing activity.

We are seeking a versatile Fire Sales Representative


In this role, you will help expand fire service opportunities across an assigned territory and account base. You will connect customers with service solutions that support safety, reliability, compliance, and long-term system performance.


What you will do


This position is focused on professionally representing the company in the promotion and sale of fire service offerings to customers, general contractors, and end users. You will identify service opportunities, develop customer relationships, and drive sales results for inspections, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and other fire protection system services.


Key Responsibilities



  • Promote and sell fire service offerings within assigned territory and accounts.

  • Own your territory with accountability and integrity by managing prospecting, follow-up, and closing activity in a professional and reliable way.

  • Stay close to the customer's needs by listening carefully, qualifying opportunities, and responding quickly to service requirements.

  • Use applicable fire protection codes, standards, and industry best practices to support clear conversations and practical service recommendations.

  • Improve every day through candor and problem-solving as you estimate work, assess opportunities, and refine your sales approach.

  • Win as one team by collaborating effectively with colleagues, customers, general contractors, and end users.


What we look for

  • Valid Full G Driver's Licence.


Nice to Have



  • Two years of fire protection industry experience.

  • Previous experience estimating fire protection projects and service work.

  • Technical knowledge of fire protection systems, including fire alarm, suppression, and related life safety systems.


Salary Range


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $53,000-$79,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)


This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that takes into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly and annual performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
