Job summary

Levitt-Safety is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to service and install fire protection systems across BC. You will work in the field with a company vehicle, receive training and certifications, and enjoy comprehensive benefits.

The role requires Red Seal and ASTT Fire Sprinkler certifications, 2+ years of mechanical/electrical experience, and validDriver’s license. Travel throughout BC and occasional on-call duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification or equivalent provincial certification.
• ASTT Fire Sprinkler Certification is required.
• 2+ years of mechanical/electrical experience in fire protection.
• Experience with vehicle fire suppression systems (Kidde, Ansul, Fogmaker) is an asset.
• Experience servicing fire extinguishers (powder and cartridge).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using mobile devices and digital reporting tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and installing fire protection and suppression systems across BC.
• Repairing and installing sprinkler and fire suppression systems.
• Servicing industrial and special-hazard suppression systems (Kidde, Ansul, Clean Agent).
• Inspecting and servicing fire protection equipment and extinguishers.
• Performing preventative maintenance per manufacturer and NFPA standards.
• Managing tools, equipment and inventory on service vehicle/site trailers.
• Completing work orders, service logs and digital reports.
• Participating in on-call rotation and supporting the inside service team.
• Maintaining manufacturer and jurisdictional certifications.
• Following safety requirements and reporting hazards or incidents.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be out in the field servicing, maintaining and installing fire protection and suppression systems across BC. Your work will include:

• Repairing, maintaining and installing sprinkler and fire suppression systems
• Servicing industrial and special-hazard suppression systems, including Kidde, Ansul, Clean Agent and water-based systems
• Inspecting and servicing fire protection equipment, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting
• Performing preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer requirements and applicable FM and NFPA standards
• Managing tools, equipment and inventory on your service vehicle and site trailers
• Completing accurate work orders, service logs and digital reports
• Participating in an on‑call rotation and providing support to the inside service team when required
• Maintaining required manufacturer and jurisdictional certifications
• Following all mine, customer and company safety requirements and reporting hazards or incidents promptly
• Representing Levitt‑Safety professionally at customer sites

• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug & alcohol testing
