Job summary

1200 Degrees Ontario seeks an Equipment Sales Representative to be the frontline contact for fire departments and emergency responders, offering industry-leading gear from top brands. You will travel within Eastern Ontario and occasionally to the U.S. for training and supplier events.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, strong consultative selling, and the ability to manage the full sales cycle from demonstrations to quotes and post-sale support. A valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B sales or account management within fire service, emergency services, or industrial safety sectors.
• Hands-on knowledge or mechanical aptitude with firefighting tools or technical equipment is an asset.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with public safety professionals.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including occasional trips to the United States for training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with fire departments; municipal & industrial clients.
• Provide in-field demonstrations and technical guidance on products including extrication tools, thermal imaging cameras, SCBA, PPE, hoses, nozzles, etc.
• Manage the full sales cycle—from presentations and quoting to closing and post-sale support.
• Respond to inquiries, tenders, and quote requests promptly.
• Support budgeting with accurate estimates and long-term procurement planning tools.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company at trade shows and events to strengthen brand visibility.
• Stay current on industry trends and product developments to maintain expert knowledge across equipment categories.
