Position: Finisher

Reporting to the Lead Hand Finishing, the Finisher will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Perform sanding and trimming of various parts as per the order instructions.
2. Visually detect surface imperfections on parts.
3. Package and clean parts as required.
4. Maintain focus while performing repetitive sanding tasks.
5. Move containers to shipping area, and move lumber, paper, and other wrapping supplies to crating area, using a hand or industrial truck.
6. Assist Shipping and Receiving to ensure goods are packaged correctly.
7. React productively to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 education.
• Fork Truck experience is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work independently.
• Good housekeeping skills.
• Ability to use small hand tools and knowledge of power tools.
• Basic reading of technical drawings.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands

Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively. The role involves lifting objects up to 50 lbs., crouching, bending, and reaching with hands and arms. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.

Working Conditions

The work environment includes typical manufacturing conditions such as dirt, noise, fumes, heat, and outdoor weather conditions.
