Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park is seeking a Fine Dining Server to deliver exceptional service and enhance guest experiences in our luxury dining venues. You will articulate wine knowledge, recommend pairings, and provide polished, professional service within a curated menu.

Requirements include Alberta ProServe certification, wine and spirits knowledge, and prior fine dining or luxury hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• Formal wine education or certification (WSET Level 2 or equivalent) is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
• Previous experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and professional presentation.

Job Description

As a Fine Dining Server with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding food and beverage offerings makes guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued.

Pay Rate: $17.22/hour
Position Type: Permanent

Job Duties Include:

• Anticipate guests' needs while providing information on food and beverage selections
• Take orders and deliver food and beverage items in a prompt and professional manner
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage items in order to assist guests with menu selections
• Enhance revenue flow through suggestive selling techniques
• Maintain accurate guest checks, handle cash, make accurate deposits, and balance credit and cash sales at the end of every shift

Qualifications

• Formal wine education or certification (WSET, Level 2 or equivalent) is considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails
• Previous experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality is an asset
• Exceptional attention to detail and a polished, professional presentation
• Alberta ProServe certification
• Knowledge of formal dining service, including proper sequence of service, is preferred
• Passion for food and wine, and creating elevated dining experiences
