Role Overview:

As the Financial Reporting Analyst at Canfor, you’ll be a vital part of a high-performing Finance team that thrives on precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to the preparation of monthly internal consolidated financial results, reports, and analysis used by senior leadership
  • Supporting the development of quarterly and annual external reporting materials, with a focus on Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)
  • Assisting in detailed financial analysis for both of Canfor’s public companies
  • Acting as a key liaison with external auditors, particularly for MD&A-related matters
  • Collaborating with finance teams across the business to understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and their impact on results
  • Supporting month-end close processes, including consolidation and select journal entries
  • Helping maintain the General Ledger Chart of Accounts (COA)
  • Extracting and analyzing data from ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards) to support reporting and decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting quality, and develop new financial insights
  • Participating in a variety of ad-hoc, high-impact finance projects
Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ideally, you have a background in consolidation accounting in a multi-divisional, public reporting company and thrive in structured, process-driven environments. You’re analytical, adaptable, and passionate about delivering high-quality financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
