Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions in Canada is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to transform complex financial data into actionable insights across Finance and Technology. This is a fully remote position with occasional visits to the office, offering exposure to regulatory reporting and governance practices.

You will extract, transform, and validate data using SQL, develop dashboards with Power BI, and collaborate across departments to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.
• Exposure to Python or cloud-based data platforms is an asset.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial reporting, business analysis, data management, or related analytical functions.
• Ability to compile full financial reports.
• Advanced experience with Power BI or similar BI tools; budgeting/forecasting exposure is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities with cross-department collaboration.
• Understanding of financial reporting practices and data governance principles.
• Experience with enterprise systems and data integration into reporting environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work across finance and technology functions, helping transform complex data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.
