Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions (Canada) Inc. is seeking a Financial Systems & Analytics Advisor to work across finance and technology, transforming complex data into insights that guide decision-making. This remote role may require occasional office visits in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in financial reporting or analytics, with strong SQL and Power BI skills, capable of collaborating across departments and ensuring data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial reporting, business analysis, data management, or related analytical functions.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Advanced experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools; exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or reporting applications is an asset.
• Understanding of financial reporting practices and accounting standards; knowledge of data security and governance principles is beneficial.
• Experience working with enterprise business systems and integrating data into reporting and analytics environments.
• Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing data; exposure to Python or cloud-based data platforms is considered an asset.
