Job summary

TMX Group, a leading North American exchange group based in Toronto, seeks a Senior Reporting Analyst for a 1-year contract. The role focuses on managing reporting, dashboard maintenance, and data integrity across key portfolio initiatives within the GTS Office.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in IT, strong analytics, and hands-on scripting (Google Apps Script), with experience building Looker Studio reports and using Workday PPM. Hybrid work in Toronto is offered.

Qualifications

  • University/undergraduate degree in a related discipline or equivalent Analyst experience within a PMO in the financial services sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment.
  • Hands-on scripting experience including Google Apps Script.
  • Proven experience developing reports and dashboards with Looker Studio.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance priorities and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reporting and automated processes are on schedule with verified data for key stakeholders.
  • Provide SME guidance on standard Delivery Methodologies, Workday PPM, and time tracking functionality.
  • Define and maintain service levels and respond promptly to inquiries.
  • Develop end-user guides and training materials, and deliver training as needed.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and respond to information requests.
  • Collaborate with Finance on annual planning and forecasting.

Ready to be part of the action? We are seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst for a 1-year contract position to manage reporting, dashboard maintenance, and creation within the GTS Office. Serving as a primary liaison and subject matter expert, this individual will champion process and tool continuous improvements, support our delivery teams, and ensure data integrity across key portfolio initiatives.

Job Location

Hybrid (2-3 days/week in office) - based in Toronto, ON

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure reporting and automated processes are executed on schedule with verified data for key stakeholders, focusing on continuous process enhancement (including weekly active project dashboards, status checks, monthly status reports, portfolio dashboards, Workday automations, and SLA/SLO dashboards).
  • Provide guidance, subject matter expertise, and support to delivery teams and stakeholders on standard Delivery Methodologies, processes, and Workday PPM and time tracking functionality.
  • Define and maintain GTS Office service levels, ensuring prompt responses to requests and inquiries sent to the team mailbox.
  • Collaborate with practice owners to refine processes, maintain documentation, end-user guides, and training materials, and deliver training on Workday PPM and delivery tools as needed.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between external auditors and GTS teams during annual audit reviews to fulfill information requests.
  • Partner with Finance during annual planning and forecasting cycles to gather actuals and forecast spend for in-flight initiatives.
  • Periodically review active initiatives for adherence to established processes, identify exceptions, evaluate existing delivery frameworks, gather stakeholder feedback, and present recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and adoption.
  • Lead internal process development for GTS Office operations and execute change management and communication plans for new or updated workflows.
  • Provide backup support for other team members and the team lead as required.
Must Have(s)
  • University/undergraduate degree in a related discipline or equivalent Analyst experience within a Project Management Office (PMO) in the financial services sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Information Technology environment.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages, including Google Apps Script.
  • Proven experience developing reports and building data visualization solutions using tools such as Looker Studio.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills to handle tight deadlines and complex situations under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, build consensus, and influence diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Have(s)
  • CAPM, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Direct experience administering Workday or an equivalent Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool.
Salary

Salary Range: $40.00/hour - $60.00/hour CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
