Job summary

Fort McKay Group of Companies is seeking a Project Analyst to oversee financial project management for assigned projects, ensuring top financial performance. The role may require client site access and pre-access testing.

You will work with Finance Shared Services, Accounts Payable, Procurement, AR, and Billing Administration to ensure timely cost recognition, revenue recognition, and accurate month-end reporting. Based at the Satellite Office in Fort McMurray, AB.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 0–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
• Organized, adaptable with high attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• General accounting knowledge from education or experience.
• Ability to review contracts for terms and invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects of projects: setup, maintenance, analysis, and closure.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable/Procurement for cost recognition and month-end accruals.
• Coordinate with AR/Billing for revenue recognition and month-end accruals.
• Serve as primary financial contact for Project Managers.
• Prepare internal financial statements and month-end reports; support reviews.
