Job summary

Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is seeking a Project Analyst to manage financials for assigned projects from setup to closure. This role interacts with AP, Procurement, AR, and Billing to ensure accurate cost and revenue recognition in IFRS.

You will prepare internal statements, forecasts and margin analyses, acting as the primary finance contact for PMs. The position is full-time at our Fort McMurray satellite office with a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration preferred.
• 0–3 years of related experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
• Must be organized, detail oriented and have strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to build relationships.
• Intermediate Excel and Power BI skills with ability to review contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management of projects, including setup, maintenance, analysis and closure.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Procurement and Billing to ensure cost recognition and revenue recognition per IFRS.
• Prepare internal financial statements and monthly reports for management.
• Act as main Finance contact for Project Managers on project finances.
• Prepare project forecasts, margin analysis and conduct month-end close reviews.
• Set priorities to meet deliverables and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist in contract rate creation and cost recovery analysis.
• Collaborate with finance team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
