What is the opportunity?

As a Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning Assistant, you support a top-producing Financial Planner, Investment, and Retirement Planning team by providing value-added administrative support to meet sales objectives. Your responsibilities include managing client contact via telephone, fax, and email; developing relationships with service partners; ensuring operational guidelines are followed; managing office routines for efficiency; and preparing materials for presentations, meetings, and marketing initiatives.

This position is based out of the branch and is open to both Full-Time and Part-Time arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Provide responsive client service via fax, email, and telephone requests
  • Execute and deliver client transactions and requests efficiently
  • Familiarize yourself with key referral sources and maintain organizational awareness
  • Keep your skills and knowledge up-to-date
  • Build customer loyalty and trust through excellent service

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Sales-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Resourcefulness and independence
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Marketing Central
  • Knowledge of Royal Bank systems (asset)
