SE Health is seeking a Financial Operations Data Quality Lead to support data quality, reporting design and financial risk assessment across healthcare operations. The role drives improvements, supports audits and contract set-up, and collaborates with Billing, Payroll and Operations to ensure accurate financial processes.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of data analysis/finance operations experience with financial impact.
  • Experience with data quality, risk assessment and healthcare data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data analysis and investigations affecting financial results.
  • Support data quality audits to mitigate financial risk.
  • Collaborate with IS, Billing, Payroll and Operations to document setup inputs.
  • Develop validation and audit processes for new programs and changes.
  • Produce BI reports to aid auditing and decision making.

Job Summary

The Financial Operations Data Quality Lead provides support for system set-up, reporting design, and data quality controls for operational processes that have financial impacts. The role independently conducts data analysis for financial impact and risk assessment, reviews current and emerging business requirements, investigates operational issues, and provides recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies. The position also supports audits, reporting, contract implementation, and business initiatives requiring strong analytical and data quality expertise.

Key Accountabilities
Data Analysis, Business Investigations & Special Projects
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects and business investigations requiring analysis of historical and current data to determine financial risk, operational impacts, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead investigations and provide input related to critical business processes affecting financial results.
  • Analyze historical and current data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations to support financial and operational improvements.
  • Conduct financial risk analysis related to new initiatives and business requirements.
  • Support the ongoing review and maintenance of accurate data and information.
Data Quality Audits, Risk Assessment & Process Improvement
  • Perform data quality audits to mitigate financial risk and errors, identify process improvement opportunities, and support operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Determine areas of concern with data quality that may have financial impact.
  • Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with DQ team members to assess risks, prioritize areas of focus and propose improvements.
  • Analyze data to assess risk and improvement impacts.
  • Investigate payroll and billing issues.
  • Support process improvements with operations to enhance data quality.
  • Promote data quality awareness across the organization.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
Business Implementation & Contract Set-Up/Maintenance Support
  • Support new contract implementation and business change activities to ensure accurate billing and payroll set-up, mitigate financial risk, and enhance the employee and customer experience.
  • Support system set-up and monitoring activities for new contracts and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Information Systems, Billing, Payroll and Operations teams to determine requirements and document set-up inputs.
  • Develop and implement validation and audit processes for new programs and business changes.
  • Address implementation and set-up enquiries.
  • Support ongoing monitoring to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
Reporting & Business Intelligence Support
  • Support development of business intelligence reporting and data analysis tools that enhance auditing capabilities, operational insights, and decision-making.
  • Develop and customize reports to support auditing and data quality activities.
  • Assist in the design of key reporting metrics.
  • Support the validation of new and revised reports.
  • Leverage reporting tools to support operational analysis and decision-making.
  • Promote data quality awareness through reporting and analysis activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education:

College Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience

Years of Experience in Role

Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis, finance operations / operations with financial impact connections, business analysis or a related role within healthcare industry preferred

Additional Skills/Abilities Required
  • Strong knowledge of organizational and operational financial data quality requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of operational source systems, including Procura and AlayaCare, preferred.
  • Experience analyzing data and investigating operational issues.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to lead initiatives collaboratively with varying internal and external participants
  • Effectively interact with all levels of staff, including admin and management.
  • Adaptability and ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
