Imaged Advertising Creations (IAC), a leader in large-format printing and custom fabrication, is seeking a skilled and proactive Controller to join our dynamic team. At IAC, we specialize in high-quality graphics, trade show displays, retail branding, and corporate interior solutions, providing cutting-edge visual solutions for brands across North America. As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing full cycle accounting processes and providing the financial reports required by company management. You will be responsible for formulating and administering approved accounting practices to ensure accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing financial strategies that align with our business goals and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring that all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
2. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
3. Handle the company's tax installments, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
5. Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
6. Oversee internal audits and controls to ensure accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.
7. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit reports.
8. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's business goals.
9. Collaborate with leadership to create and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
10. Monitor and manage the company's financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
11. Assist in the selection and implementation of accounting software ensuring integration with Salesforce.
12. Oversee the day-to-day accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting needs of the business.
13. Track and monitor the company's financial performance, providing regular reports and analysis.
14. Manage HR-related tasks and responsibilities.
15. Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations, including HST and EHT.
16. Negotiate better finance deals with external stakeholders, including banks, vendors, and clients.
17. Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.
18. Create processes and find efficiencies within the finance department.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting roles of which 3 – 5 years managerial experience required.
3. CPA designation is preferred.
4. Manufacturing or related industry experience.
5. HR experience considered an asset.
6. Strong knowledge of Canadian Tax (HST, EHT).
7. Strong communication and decision-making skills.
8. Self-starter with a positive attitude.
