AltaGas is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Midstream Finance team, supporting trucking operations. You will work on month-end reporting, analyze operational and capital data, and build cleaner reporting tools.

Proficiency in Excel and Power Query helps streamline workflows and partner with operations for improvements. Role emphasizes data organization, problem-solving, and delivering timely analysis.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, Oil & Gas preferred.
• CPA designation or working toward one is an asset.
• Advanced Excel and Power Query skills; JD Edwards and Power BI experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, business-partner mindset.
• Interest in learning the trucking business and understanding operations.
• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset by identifying challenges and driving enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter accounting entries.
• Analyze operational earnings.
• Provide monthly variance reports and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review invoices and manage accounts receivable.
• Maintain and validate master data in operational systems.
• Partner with operations managers to identify improvements and support cost tracking.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
