Job summary

AltaGas is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Midstream Finance team supporting Trucking Operations. You will develop and improve reporting, analyze operational and capital data, and partner with operations to drive cost tracking and efficiencies.

The role emphasizes Excel, Power Query, and collaboration with finance and operations to deliver meaningful insights and cleaner reporting tools. Experience in oil & gas finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience; Oil & Gas preferred.
• CPA designation or working toward one is an asset.
• Advanced Excel and Power Query; JD Edwards and Power BI a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, business-partner mindset.
• Interest in learning the trucking business and understanding operations.
• Continous improvement mindset; identify challenges and drive process enhancements.

AltaGas is looking for a sharp, proactive Financial Analyst to join our Midstream Finance team, supporting the Trucking Operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and improving processes. You’ll play a key role in month-end reporting, analyzing operational and capital data, and helping build out cleaner, more effective reporting tools.
