Human Capital Consultant | Finance Recruiter | Randstad Canada

This role is a contract to hire, reporting to the Finance Director of a Logistics Operations, focuses on building and analyzing forward-looking financial projections, valuation scenarios, and risk assessments to guide strategic and operational decisions. The position also plays a key role in shaping return expectations, cash flow planning, and financial viability for major infrastructure and investment projects.

Primary Duties:

• Design and upkeep detailed financial models supporting long-term asset investments
• Perform thorough financial evaluations to measure business performance, profitability, and the feasibility of strategic projects
• Partner with executive leadership and interdepartmental teams to deliver financial input critical to business strategy
• Contribute to the development of investment cases, advising on funding strategies and expected value outcomes
• Oversee capital-related risk exposure and ensure proper liquidity planning for project execution
• Coordinate the preparation and review of annual capital expenditure plans, monthly forecasts, and reporting cycles
• Deliver financial summaries and dashboards that translate data into decision-ready insights for stakeholders
• Uphold governance standards and protocols related to capital investment policies

Required Background:

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related discipline
• Advanced credentials such as MBA or a CPA (or equivalent) are preferred
• At least 5+years of experience in financial or statistical modeling within a corporate finance setting
• Previous exposure to the food production industry is essential
• Expertise in Excel, financial planning tools, and data reporting platforms
• Strong ability to convey financial analysis to varied audiences, including non-finance stakeholders
• Demonstrated analytical strength and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to solving complex financial issues
• Comfortable working independently, including in distributed or remote team structures
• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable
