Position Summary

Acting as an ambassador for the mission, vision, values and goals of the Financial Services Department and Integrated Health Services Information Program, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders and reporting on key departmental projects and corporate initiatives as required. The Analyst will be accountable for a lead role in the month end close process including variance analysis and systems reconciliations and coordination of the month end schedule. The Analyst will also aid in the preparation of the year end lead sheets, audited financial statements and the monthly review of all reconciliations. The Analyst will also involve all levels, including management, ensuring adequacy of controls in both program and administrative activities to attain program goals.

Schedule Work Hours

Monday - Friday, days

This position is temporary until May 2027.

Qualifications

1. Professional designation CA, CMA, or CGA required or a minimum of five years of professional accounting or audit experience.

2. Post secondary Degree or Diploma in Business.

3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

5. Demonstrated experience in specific role accountabilities.

6. Demonstrated experience in Meditech.

7. Previous hospital experience an asset.
